Conference to disseminate knowledge about social work profession in Tam Diep city

On May 24, at the People's Committee of Tan Binh Ward (Tam Diep City), the Provincial Center for Social Protection and Work in coordination with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Tam Diep City organized a conference to disseminate knowledge about the social work profession to social workers.

The conference was attended by 200 delegates including Party cell secretaries, village chiefs, youth union secretaries, women's association heads and social workers... from 4 wards and communes: Tan Binh, Bac Son, Yen Binh, Yen Son.

Participating in the training course, delegates were imparted basic knowledge about social work by social work specialists of the Provincial Center for Social Protection and Work, such as: The role and position of social work, what is the social work profession, assistance procedures in social work, the role of the Provincial Center for Social Protection and Work in caring for people with disabilities, the elderly, and children in especially difficult circumstances in the province...

By equipping and disseminating the above basic knowledge, it helps the team of social workers at the grassroots level to raise awareness, have basic and correct understanding of social work, thereby helping them to effectively promote their role in practical activities, and better assist people with disabilities, the elderly, and children in especially difficult circumstances.
