TRAINING CONFERENCE ON PROJECT 8 - ACHIEVE GENDER EQUALITY AND SOLVE URGENT ISSUES FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN BY 2025

From November 10 to November 13, 2025, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Lang Son province organized a training conference on Project 8 - Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children for 160 trainees who are officers and civil servants advising on gender equality work in communes. Attending and delivering the opening speech at the conference was comrade Lam Van Vien - Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

At the conference, the participants were informed by the speakers about the topics of identifying gender issues, methods of implementing gender mainstreaming in local socio -economic development programs and policies; monitoring and evaluating the implementation of gender mainstreaming; methods of communication on gender equality, methods of mobilizing the active participation of men in activities promoting gender equality, methods of guiding and supporting the community (training, advising, consulting); regulations of international and Vietnamese laws on gender equality; some games to improve knowledge about gender. At the same time, this is an opportunity for participants to learn, exchange and share experiences with each other on good practices, good practices, effective practices, and to solve difficulties and problems arising from the practice of state management of gender equality at the local level.
