National conference to disseminate Directive on election work took place on November 15

The national conference to disseminate the Politburo's Directive and deploy the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2026-2031 term was held on the morning of November 15 at the Dien Hong Conference Room.

Implementing Plan No. 49/KH-HDBCQG, on the morning of November 15 (from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.), at the Dien Hong Meeting Room, the National Assembly, the National Election Council held a national conference to disseminate the Politburo 's Directive, deploying the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The conference was organized in a combination of in-person and online formats to provincial and commune-level bridges in 34 provinces and cities across the country.

According to the program, Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam will attend and direct the Conference. Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Election Council will chair and direct the Conference.

Regarding the participants of the Conference: At the main bridge (Dien Hong Meeting Room, National Assembly House), there were the participation of leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly and members of the National Assembly Standing Committee; Deputy Prime Ministers; representatives of leaders of Central Party Committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy; representatives of the Office of the President, the Government Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs , the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Government Inspectorate, the Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, the Committees of the National Assembly, the Office of the National Assembly; members of the Sub-committees of the National Election Council, the Office of the National Election Council; Comrades, leaders of provincial and municipal Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Fatherland Front Committees, National Assembly delegations of provinces and cities, and experts directly advising on election services.

At the provincial and municipal bridge points, there were comrades in the Election Steering Committee, Provincial Election Committee; Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee, Department of Home Affairs of provinces and cities; Office of the Provincial Party Committee, City Party Committee, Office of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council, Office of the People's Committee, leaders of the Party Building Committees.

Attending the conference at the commune-level bridge point were comrades in the Election Steering Committee, Commune-level Election Committee; Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the People's Committee, Standing Committee of the Commune-level Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary, Head of the Front Work Committee, mass organizations, Village Chief, Head of Residential Group.

According to the Conference program, delegates will hear representatives of agencies present the following documents:

- Directive of the Politburo on leading the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term;

- Guidance of the Central Organizing Committee on personnel work for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term;

- Directive of the Prime Minister on organizing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term;

- Procedures for negotiating, selecting and introducing candidates for National Assembly deputies, candidates for People's Council deputies and organizing conferences to collect voters' opinions;

- Guidance on professional work of organizing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term;

- Plan of the National Election Council on implementing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The national conference to disseminate the Politburo's Directive on the implementation of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is of great significance; thereby, creating high unity in awareness, political ideology and action in the entire political system; at the same time, creating consensus in society, contributing to the successful organization of the election to ensure democracy, equality, legality, safety, economy and truly a festival for all people; consolidating people's trust in the Party, State and the country's innovation cause./.
