Da Nang City Farmers' Association gives gifts to families affected by natural disasters

At the places visited, Vice President of the City Farmers' Association Thai Thi Bich Phin visited, shared the situation and encouraged the spirit of 8 families of farmer members whose relatives died due to natural disasters in the communes of Dien Ban Bac, Dien Ban Dong, Hoi An Dong, Duy Nghia, Thang An, Thuong Duc, Tra Leng and Tra Tap. The delegation presented 2 million VND in support to each family.

In addition, the delegation presented gifts to support 5 farmer families whose houses, properties, crops, and livestock were damaged by floods in the communes of Dien Ban Tay, Xuan Phu, and Tra Tan; each case received support of 1-2 million VND.

The total support fund is 23 million VND, taken from the "Natural Disaster" Fund and civil servants and employees of the Da Nang City Farmers' Association donated 1 day's salary.

Ms. Thai Thi Bich Phin, Vice President of the Farmers' Association of Da Nang City shared: "This is a practical activity in response to the movement "Month of action for people in disaster areas" launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City.

Thereby, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, affection and responsibility of cadres and members of the Farmers' Association of Da Nang city towards people in flood areas, promoting the role of the association in social security work, taking care of people's lives, especially farmers' association members in flood areas."
