Currently, the area of ​​durian in Dam Rong district is over 4,000 hectares. Dam Rong durian is grown in a pure planting model as well as intercropped in coffee gardens and other trees. With suitable soil and climate, durian gives high yield and good quality. Dam Rong is actively building a brand for local durian trees to increase recognition, expand the market, and work with farmers to increase the value of durian.

Honey pineapple is also a new plant growing in Dam Rong district with good results. Honey pineapple reaches an area of ​​over 50 hectares, mainly grown in hilly areas, requiring little care and irrigation. Dam Rong honey pineapple has good quality, stable yield at 20-30 tons/ha/year. However, the output for honey pineapple is still facing difficulties.

Mr. Tran Duc Bac awarded the Certificate of Right to Use the Dam Rong Durian Certification Trademark to the representative of the Dam Rong Durian High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative.

Therefore, since mid-2024, Dam Rong has been registering the certification marks “Dam Rong durian and “Dam Rong honey pineapple” for these two key agricultural products. It is known that many farmers and organizations have registered to use the certification marks “Dam Rong durian and “Dam Rong honey pineapple”.

Currently, the Dam Rong Durian High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative has been granted the right to use the trademark “Dam Rong Durian” for the cooperative’s 40-hectare area. In addition, the certification trademark “Dam Rong Honey Pineapple” is granted to the Ro Men Pineapple Cooperative, a collective organization of most farmers who concentrate on honey pineapple cultivation in Ro Men commune, Dam Rong district.

The successful establishment of the certification marks “Dam Rong durian” and “Dam Rong honey pineapple” has contributed to promoting brand building, positioning reputation as well as supporting farmers to expand the market, finding sustainable output for two specialty agricultural products of the Dam Rong region. Currently, this locality is continuing to promote the management and effective use of the certification marks “Dam Rong durian” and “Dam Rong honey pineapple”, bringing the brands closer to farmers and consumers.
