Scientific Conference Dien Bien Phu

Dien Bien TV - On the morning of April 19, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations held a scientific workshop on "Dien Bien Phu - The epic poem, a great source of creative inspiration for literature and arts". Attending the workshop were Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Professor, Doctor Le Hong Ly, Chairman of the Council of Literature and Arts Theory and Criticism. On the Dien Bien province side, there was Mr. Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of provincial departments and branches.

Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan emphasized: The Dien Bien Phu victory is one of the great feats of arms of the Vietnamese army and people, the first time a small country defeated the powerful French army, equipped with modern and sophisticated weapons. With great significance, artists with the noble power of composing good works, touching people's hearts, attracting the attention of society, Dien Bien Phu will forever be a great source of creative inspiration for literature and art.

The scientific conference “Dien Bien Phu - The epic poem, a great source of creative inspiration for literature and art” was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The conference had 35 papers with main topics such as: Folk songs, resistance songs with the Dien Bien Phu Victory; The image of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in literature; Dien Bien Phu in the inspiration for artistic creation...

Also at the conference, delegates who are writers, poets, painters, and critical researchers will listen to a number of presentations and discuss past, present, and future artistic creations about Dien Bien Phu.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang affirmed: After the Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954, Dien Bien was still a land exploited by many artists and had successful works such as: Lac Season, Dien Bien Mountains and Rivers, Red Ban Flowers, Dien Bien Memories... For cultural soldiers and artists today, Dien Bien Phu is a land of peace. Dien Bien is on the path of development but the heroic memories of 70 years ago are still a source of creative inspiration for literature and art. This workshop not only looks back at the past but also opens up the future of literature and art about Dien Bien.

Previously, on the evening of April 18, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations coordinated with the People's Committee of Dien Bien province to organize an art program with the theme "Through the Northwest - Returning to Dien Bien".
