
The workshop is considered an important scientific event to enhance academic exchanges, share practical experiences and promote training cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in the new context.
The workshop was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Daosavanh Kheuamyxay, Deputy Director of the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son, Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication; Associate Professor, Dr. Mai Duc Ngoc, Party Secretary, Chairman of the School Council, along with many scientists, lecturers, experts and students of the two countries.
The full participation of delegates demonstrated deep interest in cooperation in political theory training - a field of strategic significance for Party building and the political system of the two countries.
According to the Organizing Committee, the conference received nearly 70 presentations from scientists, lecturers and managers from Vietnam and Laos. The presentations were divided into three main groups: Theoretical and practical issues arising from political theory training and fostering, articles focusing on explaining the theoretical basis of innovation in political theory training, the role of political theory in Party building, as well as new requirements in the context of globalization and digital transformation; the current status of political theory training in Vietnam and Laos, introducing research results on current training models, evaluating programs, textbooks, teaching methods, and pointing out the limitations, inadequacies and challenges that the two countries are facing;
The workshop also proposed and suggested a number of issues such as: innovating teaching content and methods; perfecting the program in the digital environment; developing a team of political theory lecturers; developing bilingual learning materials; and expanding Vietnam-Laos cooperation in political theory training. In general, the presentations contributed to forming a comprehensive picture of theory, practice and development orientation of political theory training between the two countries in the new period.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son emphasized the strategic significance of political theory training cooperation between the two countries over the past decades. He said that in the new context with unpredictable changes in the world situation and high requirements for the quality of cadres, the task of improving theoretical level, political mettle, strategic thinking and adaptive skills is becoming increasingly urgent.
The workshop is an important opportunity for scientists from both countries to share knowledge and experience and contribute to deepening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
The session included 7 presentations by scientists from both countries. The presentations covered many important perspectives such as: the need to innovate political theory training in Laos; effective teaching methods in the current context; the role of political theory in Party building; assessing the quality of political theory programs in Vietnam; developing a team of political theory lecturers in the context of digital transformation; and experience of Vietnam-Laos cooperation in the field of cadre training. After each session, delegates had lively discussions and gave many ideas of great practical value.

Many presentations at the workshop, including the report by Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Sa Van Khua My Xay, provided in-depth analysis of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party's viewpoint on political theory training, emphasizing the need to innovate content, programs and teaching methods; strengthen training of cadres at all levels; perfect the program system from elementary to doctoral; and at the same time, point out the limitations in the context of integration and digital transformation.
These contents significantly contribute to the overall picture of the Workshop and clarify the orientations for Vietnam-Laos cooperation in the coming time.
In his closing remarks, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son highly appreciated the seriousness, responsibility and enthusiasm of the scientists and lecturers attending the workshop. He affirmed that the professional opinions and scientific arguments exchanged at the workshop are an important source of materials serving the process of innovation in political theory training in the coming time.
He also emphasized that the results of the Workshop will contribute to consolidating, expanding and deepening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Laos, especially in the field of personnel training - a key field in the construction and development of the two countries.

Summing up the conference, the Organizing Committee assessed that the event had fully achieved its objectives: creating an academic forum for the two countries to share experiences; providing many important scientific findings and arguments; suggesting new directions for political theory training; and at the same time strengthening trust, attachment and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
Many proposals at the workshop were assessed to have high practical value and can be applied immediately in curriculum development, compilation of learning materials, innovation of teaching methods and strengthening bilateral training cooperation in the coming period.
