Scientific workshop on "Automation in power conversion"

On the morning of November 14, Dak Lak College coordinated with the Danang Automation Association to organize a scientific workshop on “Automation in power conversion”. Attending the workshop were Dr. Nguyen Hoang Mai, Chairman of the Danang Automation Association; Prof. Dr. Le Hung Lan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association; leaders of universities and colleges in and outside the province, and representatives of a number of departments, branches and enterprises.

Dr. Nguyen Hoang Mai, Chairman of Danang Automation Association, delivered the opening speech at the workshop.

In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Mai emphasized the increasing demand for energy in modern life, requiring the development of clean and renewable energy sources to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

Energy sources such as solar, wind, biomass, hydropower or nuclear energy are considered to play an important role and need to be exploited effectively while protecting the environment.

At the workshop, delegates listened to 14 presentations including: Electric vehicle charging station using solar batteries by MSc. Tran Van Dung, Dak Lak College; Analysis of the structure of power source types and recommendations for some policies for sustainable development of Vietnam's electricity in the period 2025-2030 by Dr. Trinh Van Mien; Multi-phase converter for electric vehicles - Application in Dak Lak by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thanh Ha and presentation Combining renewable energy and storage in high-speed train systems using 2-way converters by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chu Thi Thuy, Hanoi University of Transport. Presentation on DC-DC BUCK power converter control method based on PID, GA and Open Logic by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tiem, Hanoi University of Transport; Transformer material fault diagnosis by Dr. Nguyen Kim Anh, Da Nang University of Technology; Digital flood warning system for downstream hydropower reservoirs by Master Nguyen Huu Hoang, Buon Kuop Hydropower Company...

The workshop is an opportunity for scientists, businesses and professionals in the field of automation to share knowledge and experience, discuss career issues, and at the same time strengthen connections and support each other in work, contributing to promoting the development of the industry.
