On October 28 and 29, in Ha Long City, Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) organized a professional mine rescue technical competition in 2024, with the participation of the entire mine rescue force of TKV Mine Rescue Center in all three regions of Hon Gai, Cam Pha and Uong Bi.
12 squads with 81 officers and soldiers of TKV mine rescue team participated in 4 categories including: Team formation; Search and rescue - eliminating incidents in the mine; First aid - reviving people with cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest; Command to resolve incidents.
In particular, category 2 is the most important content of the sports festival, with hypothetical situations of external fires, methane gas explosions and mine collapses, with workers trapped in the mine tunnels. The requirement of this category is that within 60 minutes, each squad must search for victims, provide first aid on the spot and remove the victims from the danger zone; then continue to organize measures to thoroughly handle the incident, bringing the mine to a safe state.
According to the assessment of the Organizing Committee of the sports festival, the participating teams completed all 4 categories well, demonstrating increasingly professional rescue capabilities and skills, ready to meet the requirements of the mission.
At the end of the sports festival, Ha Long Mine Rescue Station excellently won first prize for the whole team.
