Continuing the investment promotion program in Korea, this morning, April 26, in Seoul, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea and the Korean Small and Medium Enterprises Association (KBIZ) to organize the Quang Tri Investment Promotion Conference in 2024.

Speaking at the conference, Ambassador Vu Ho expressed his joy at attending the first Quang Tri Investment Promotion Conference held in Seoul, demonstrating the friendly cooperation between Quang Tri and Korean investors in particular and between localities of Vietnam and Korea in general.

With its strategic geographical location, Quang Tri province is one of the destinations with potential for investment in various fields. The Ambassador is committed to always accompany Korean enterprises to connect new investment opportunities as well as solve problems in the investment and business process in Vietnam in general and Quang Tri in particular.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Van Hung affirmed that for Quang Tri province, Korea has always been identified as one of the most important partners. Korea officially cooperated with Quang Tri province since 2001, and has become one of the reliable and important partners in many fields of Quang Tri province.
During the period 2001 - 2023, Korea has funded Quang Tri with a total budget of 25 million USD to implement many programs and projects on social security, response and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters...
In the past time, 3 projects of Korean enterprises have been approved and invested in Quang Tri, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the province.
Introducing the potential of Quang Tri province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung emphasized the Planning of Quang Tri province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, with the goal that by 2030, Quang Tri will reach a development level among the group of fairly developed provinces in the country, with a basic economic structure of an industrial - service province, one of the comprehensive economic centers of the North Central and Central coastal regions, a logistics and transit center of goods in Southeast Asia and traffic corridors in the ASEAN region, the Mekong sub-region.
These are important conditions and the right time for investors to come to invest in Quang Tri to develop in the fields of supporting industry, processing, manufacturing, environmentally friendly industry, green growth...
At the workshop, Korean enterprises learned and grasped more comprehensive information about the investment environment and policies in Quang Tri province; and heard about industrial parks, industrial clusters, and the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone.
One of the concerns and research of investors in Korea is about procedures, investment environment, preferential policies, technical issues such as: investment costs, labor costs, land rental prices inside and outside economic zones, industrial parks, environmental issues and waste treatment, logistics system and especially preferential policies and investment support of the province.
Investors also expressed their hope that the Quang Tri provincial government will accompany and actively support investors in the process of surveying and proposing investment projects in the province.
Issues that Korean enterprises and corporations are interested in were also discussed and answered by the functional agencies and departments of Quang Tri province at the Workshop.

At the conference, Mr. Choo Moon Gab, CEO of KBIZ expressed his deep gratitude to the Quang Tri province investment promotion delegation for organizing the investment promotion conference in Korea to share information and investment opportunities with Korean enterprises and believed that the conference would continue to open up great opportunities for cooperation and development, promoting investment cooperation between Korea and Quang Tri. Mr. Choo Moon Gab pledged to continue to accompany, strengthen cooperation, and further promote investment activities of enterprises of the two countries.
In his closing speech at the workshop, on behalf of the leaders of Quang Tri province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung thanked the delegates and businesses for their participation, and affirmed that the province's motto is that when businesses develop, Quang Tri develops, and when Quang Tri develops, businesses develop.
Today’s investment promotion conference is a very important activity of Quang Tri province, opening up many new development opportunities, new relations in investment cooperation between Vietnam and Korea in general; between Quang Tri province and KBIZ, Korean partners in particular.
It can be seen that Quang Tri province is shifting and developing, with a synchronously deployed socio-economic infrastructure system; has built for itself a comprehensive development strategy, effectively exploiting the potentials and strengths in terms of geographical location, natural resources and economic resources; identifying development goals and positioning Quang Tri province in the sectors and fields of the region and internationally in the coming time.
To realize the set goals, turn the "potentials" into "dynamics" of the economy, Quang Tri is looking forward to the businesses present at today's workshop as well as businesses in the KBIZ community coming to Quang Tri, cooperating and investing together, bringing businesses and the whole province of Quang Tri together to develop, conquering new heights.
With that viewpoint, Quang Tri province is always ready, welcomes, welcomes and accompanies Korean investors to Quang Tri to cooperate and develop together.
From the good friendship between Vietnam and Korea, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that Korean enterprises and investors attending this conference will directly come to Quang Tri to witness and learn about investment opportunities to join hands with the province on the journey to create prosperity and build a better life.

KBIZ Chairman Kim Ki Moon said that this investment promotion seminar in Quang Tri province in Korea will be the first step for Korean enterprises to invest heavily in Quang Tri in the coming time, especially with the potential and strengths that the province has.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung congratulated Ambassador Vu Ho on his official appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Korea. In his new position, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the Ambassador will contribute to further promoting the cooperation in politics, foreign affairs, economics, culture, education, labor, people-to-people exchange and investment promotion between Quang Tri and Korean business partners.
Ambassador Vu Ho expressed his pleasure to welcome the provincial delegation to visit and share information about the cooperation between Quang Tri and Korea in recent times. The Ambassador affirmed that he will try to promote cooperation and connection between Quang Tri province and Korean localities and enterprises to achieve practical results.
