The Spring Festival "Opening the Heavenly Gate 2026" officially returns to welcome visitors on February 19th (the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year) with many attractive activities at Sun World Fansipan Legend. This is also an opportunity for Buddhists and tourists to participate in many meaningful spiritual activities at the beginning of the year in Sa Pa, starting at 9:15 AM on February 19th in the Thanh Van Dac Lo area.
Amidst the solemn atmosphere of the resounding temple bells, thousands of Buddhists and tourists will participate in the rituals of offering flowers, bathing the Buddha statue, writing New Year's wishes, and chanting prayers for national peace and prosperity.
The pilgrimage along the Arhats' Path, visiting the Great Amitabha Buddha statue and Kim Son Bao Thang Temple, is not only a journey to the realm of Buddha but also an opportunity to purify the soul and pray for a prosperous new year.

On this occasion, visitors can also participate in many meaningful activities such as: asking for auspicious calligraphy at the beginning of the year, praying for peace and lighting candles at Kim Son Bao Thang Temple to express their wishes for a lucky and prosperous new year for themselves and their families.
During the New Year season, Sun World Fansipan Legend is also the destination for a series of culturally rich festivals in May Village. Immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of May Village, visitors will fully experience the local culture with a series of elaborately recreated traditional festivals.
The festivities began with the 2nd Gầu Tào Festival, held in Mây village from February 19th to 21st, where the unique spiritual and cultural aspects of the Hmong people were vividly recreated through solemn rituals performed by shamans and the unique ceremony of erecting the ceremonial pole to pray for a bountiful harvest year.
The festival also offers visitors a lively and vibrant atmosphere with the sounds of the Hmong flute, romantic courtship songs, exciting folk games such as bird-fighting and Pao throwing, or the unique "wife-catching" custom of the Hmong people.

From February 28th to March 1st, the Xên Bản Xên Mường Festival of the Thai people opens up a colorful festive atmosphere with a reenactment of the ritual where the shaman respectfully offers gifts to thank the river and mountain gods and prays for favorable weather and a bountiful harvest. The festival invites visitors to join in the heartfelt flower dance to the rhythmic drumming and gongs, and admire the vibrant costumes of the highland girls.
The allure of the Xen Ban Xen Muong Festival also lies in its characteristic khene flute dances, combined with folk games full of laughter such as blindfolded duck catching, stilt walking, or climbing a greasy pole in May village, allowing visitors to touch upon innocent childhood memories amidst majestic nature.
Visiting May village during this time, tourists also have the opportunity to enjoy a Tet feast with exquisite highland specialties from the 3rd to the 5th day of Tet, to better experience the rich and unforgettable flavors of spring in Northwest Vietnam.

In particular, adding to the vibrant cultural tapestry at Sun World Fansipan Legend during the New Year is the Tam Phu Mother Goddess worship activity, taking place from March 13th to 15th, featuring Buddhist rituals and performances of the Tam Phu Mother Goddess worship tradition.
One experience that visitors shouldn't miss when visiting Fansipan during the first days of the Lunar New Year of the Horse is the sacred flag-raising ceremony at the 3,143m peak, held six times a day (from February 19th to 22nd, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM). On February 19th, 1,000 bags of lucky salt will be given to the first visitors participating in the flag-raising ceremony as a lucky gift for the new year.

An impressive highlight of Sun World Fansipan Legend during the 2026 Lunar New Year is the vibrant and breathtaking spring scenery stretching from the Departure Station, Arrival Station, and throughout the entire tourist area. Most unique is the "Horses Galloping to Spring" display located at the Five-Colored Flower Garden Gate, featuring a herd of majestic horses amidst a carpet of spring flowers, symbolizing success and breakthroughs.
In addition, other impressive large and small scenic spots are arranged in many places within the Sun World Fansipan Legend complex, such as: a flower-lined path with the word "Fansipan" made of fresh flowers, a giant Bodhi leaf, a model of Fansipan peak made of flowers… carrying messages of good fortune and peace. These will be extremely attractive photo spots for tourists visiting Fansipan during the Lunar New Year 2026.
With its perfect blend of majestic landscapes, profound spiritual experiences, and vibrant festive atmosphere, Sun World Fansipan Legend 2026 is undoubtedly the ideal destination to start a bright and joyful new year.
