Today, December 15th, the first test flight from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Long Thanh Airport was conducted.

(Dong Nai) - According to the plan, today, December 15th, the relevant units will conduct a technical flight to Long Thanh International Airport.

According to the plan, the technical flight will involve one Code E aircraft (expected to be a Boeing 787, currently Vietnam's largest aircraft) flying from Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), landing at Long Thanh Airport, and then returning to Tan Son Nhat Airport. The technical flight will only carry the flight crew and technical staff; it will not carry passengers or cargo. Vietnam Airlines , the national airline of Vietnam, will operate this technical flight.

Previously, at a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the Long Thanh Airport Project on December 14th, the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) stated that preparations for the technical and official flights to Long Thanh Airport have been largely completed. Ground infrastructure and equipment have been fully installed to serve these flights.
