On the morning of February 19th (the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year, Year of the Horse), the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting announced that the cold air mass had expanded its influence to some areas in the Northwest of Northern Vietnam and the Central region. Hanoi and many places in the North experienced spring rain and drizzle, with temperatures dropping 4-6 degrees Celsius compared to before. Hanoi's weather was cold to freezing, but not intensely cold.
The meteorological and hydrological agency forecasts that on February 19th, the North will experience scattered rain, with sunny weather in the Northwest in the afternoon. The highest temperature will be 19-23 degrees Celsius (24-26 degrees Celsius in the Northwest). From February 20th to 22nd (the 4th-6th day of the Lunar New Year), the North will continue to have light rain in some areas, with light fog in the morning (rain and showers in mountainous areas on February 22nd). The nights and mornings will remain cold.
According to meteorological and hydrological experts, this cold front will have the strongest impact from the night of the 2nd and throughout the 3rd day of Tet in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa , before weakening.

Along the South Central coast, from February 19th to 22nd, it will be sunny. However, in the area from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa, there will be rain and showers on February 19th and 20th. The highest temperatures in the northern part of this region will be 26-28 degrees Celsius, and in the southern part 28-32 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region will experience little rain and sunny days from February 19th to 22nd. The Eastern region will have some areas experiencing hot weather at midday. Temperatures in Ho Chi Minh City on February 19th are likely to decrease by about 1 degree Celsius compared to February 18th, but will still remain high. According to the forecast, the highest temperature today will be 32-35 degrees Celsius, with some areas in the Eastern region exceeding 35 degrees Celsius. At night, the lowest temperature will be 23-26 degrees Celsius.
The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting also reported that high tides are currently occurring along the eastern coast of Southern Vietnam. The meteorological and hydrological agency predicts that the peak tide in the eastern coastal area of Southern Vietnam will remain relatively stable for the next 24-72 hours from the afternoon of February 18th. The highest water level at the Vung Tau station will be approximately 4-4.05m, but there is still a risk of flooding in low-lying coastal and riverside areas in the eastern part of Southern Vietnam.
