Previously, on the afternoon of December 8, at Huamark Stadium, Bangkok, the Flag Raising Ceremony of the sports delegations participating in the 33rd SEA Games took place in a solemn and respectful atmosphere.
Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh, along with athletes, coaches and delegation officials present at the ceremony, witnessed the heroic and emotional moment when the national flag was raised, amidst the majestic sound of the national anthem.

After the Flag Raising Ceremony ended, Head of the delegation Nguyen Hong Minh said: "Although there are still difficulties in the face of increasingly fierce competition from strong countries in the region such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, creating great pressure on the achievement goals of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation. However, the Vietnamese athletes are confident and always have the highest determination to complete the goals set by the delegation."
Also yesterday (December 8), 264 athletes and coaches of 15 sports continued their flight to Thailand to attend the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33). These sports include: Volleyball, Tennis, Teqball, Jujitsu, Shooting, Sepak Takraw, MMA, Basketball, Chess, Judo, Taekwondo, Karate, Petanque, Boxing and Figure Skating.

The Vietnamese Sports Delegation participating in the 33rd SEA Games has a total of 1,165 members, including 842 athletes, 189 coaches and 19 experts. The delegation will compete in 47/66 sports and 443/573 events of the Games.
