In 2025, Hanoi National University of Education 2 will enroll students according to 6 admission methods, an increase of 1 method compared to 2024. This will be the first year the school organizes its own entrance exam and uses the results of its own exam for university admission.

The remaining 5 methods include: considering high school graduation exam results, considering academic records; direct admission and priority direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ; admission based on the results of the capacity assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City, admission using the results of the capacity assessment exam of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology

Hanoi University of Science and Technology will maintain 3 stable admission methods in 2025, including: talent selection; considering the results of the thinking assessment exam (expected to increase the quota slightly); considering the results of the high school graduation exam (expected to reduce the quota from 50% to 40%).

National Economics University

In 2025, the National Economics University plans to maintain 3 stable admission methods, including: direct admission (2%); combined admission (83%) and admission based on high school graduation exam results (15%, down 3% compared to 2024). With the method of using high school graduation exam results in 2025, the National Economics University will only use 4 combinations: A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), D01 (Math, Literature, English) and D07 (Math, Chemistry, English) instead of 9 combinations as in 2024.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine

According to the newly announced enrollment plan for 2025 , Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has adjusted the enrollment quota for some majors compared to 2024, including Pharmacy (increase by 30%), Traditional Medicine (increase by 20%) and Nursing (increase by 10%). The remaining majors will maintain their enrollment quotas.

Regarding admission methods, the school implements 6 admission methods, including: using high school graduation exam results; direct admission according to the regulations of the admission regulations; using the results of the capacity assessment test, thinking assessment organized by other units for admission; using only international certificates for admission; combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission; using other methods.

University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University)

From 2025, the University of Economics and Law will no longer consider admission based on the combination of A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and D07 (Math, Chemistry, English). The school will use two traditional combinations: A01 (Math, Physics, English), D01 (Math, English, Literature), and add two new combinations: Math, English, Informatics and Math, English, Economic and Legal Education.

Regarding admission methods, the University of Economics and Law plans to use three main methods in 2025, including: direct admission and priority direct admission (up to 20% of the target), considering the capacity assessment test scores (up to 40-60%) and high school graduation exam scores (up to 30-50%).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade

In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade plans to recruit students in 3 ways: considering high school transcripts (15-20% of the target); considering 2025 high school graduation exam scores (50-60% of the target); considering Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment test scores + Ho Chi Minh City University of Education's capacity assessment test scores (20-35% of the target).

Notably, the school announced to recruit 5 new groups in 2025, including 4 groups of group C, including: C00 (Literature, History, Geography), C01 (Literature, Mathematics, Physics), C02 (Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry), C14 (Math, Literature, Economic and Legal Education), mainly in the Law, Business Administration, and Hotel groups. This is the first time Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade recruits group C.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education plans to not use academic transcript scores in admission methods from 2025. Instead, the school will use the following admission methods: direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (10% of the target); priority admission and admission of specialized class students (10-20% of the target); admission based on specialized competency assessment exams, expected to be applied to more than 30 majors (40-50% of the target for each major).

With the admission method based on the 2025 high school graduation exam, the school reserves 20-40% of the quota for majors using the admission method based on the specialized competency assessment exam or 70-80% for the remaining majors.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) conducts admissions using a combination of criteria. In particular, the academic criteria include 3 components: High school study scores (including 6 semesters corresponding to the admission registration combination); High school graduation exam scores (including subjects in the admission combination); and competency assessment test scores. The candidate's academic components are calculated based on the 3-year high school study scores, high school graduation exam scores, and competency assessment test scores.

Nha Trang University

In 2025, Nha Trang University will not use transcript scores for admission but only as a preliminary admission condition. Specifically, the school will consider admission by combining high school academic results and university academic ability assessment results. The school organizes preliminary admission (necessary conditions) through transcript results in subjects prescribed by the school, then considers admission (sufficient conditions) by the 2025 high school graduation exam results or the results of the competency assessment exam.

With the preliminary selection through high school results, each major and training major has a number of subjects according to the school's regulations. The results of these subjects must meet the minimum requirements announced by the school every year.

Khanh Hoa University

Khanh Hoa University announced 4 admission methods in 2025, including: considering the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; considering high school study results; considering the results of the capacity assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 and direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

University of the Pacific

In 2025, Pacific University plans to use 3 admission methods: based on high school academic results; based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam according to the subject group corresponding to the admission major and based on the 2025 high school graduation exam score.
