On March 12, at the Conference Center of Binh Phuoc Provincial Political School, the "EuroCham - Binh Phuoc Province 2024 Forum for Connecting Industrial, Commercial and High-Tech Agricultural Enterprises" was held with the participation of nearly 360 domestic and international delegates.
In addition to the host unit, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, the forum is also co-chaired by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), and the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA). In addition, the forum is also jointly organized by Hung Nhon Group and De Heus Group (Netherlands).

The forum was attended by representatives of the European Union (EU) and 21 diplomatic delegations from embassies, consulates general and business associations from countries such as the Netherlands, Australia, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Canada, Denmark, etc.

Promoting Binh Phuoc's advantages
Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of VIDA, Chairman and General Director of Hung Nhon Group said that in recent years, Binh Phuoc has created a great attraction in investment attraction activities, especially attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the fields of agricultural processing for export, supporting industry, renewable energy, etc.
However, compared to the province's potential and advantages, Binh Phuoc's FDI attraction is still not comparable to that of other provinces in the region such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
“To realize the potential and advantages into specific numbers, it is definitely necessary to meet and promote investment activities to have a common voice,” Mr. Hung shared.
According to Mr. Hung, the purpose of the forum is to contribute to enhancing dialogue between government agencies, policy makers, localities, organizations, associations, etc. on key issues in the strategy of developing agriculture towards digitalization.
In particular, through the forum, domestic and foreign experts will propose solutions to help Vietnam ensure the feasibility of financial resources and synchronize policies to develop a sustainable green economy, towards achieving the Net Zero goal by 2050.

Speaking at the opening of the forum, Ms. Tran Tue Hien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, said that the purpose of the forum is to connect industrial, commercial and high-tech agricultural enterprises of EuroCham with Binh Phuoc province. This is an opportunity for Binh Phuoc province to introduce and promote its image to help domestic and foreign investors access key projects, especially projects in industrial parks, industrial clusters, economic zones, and high-tech agricultural projects.

Sharing with investors, Ms. Hien said that in terms of administrative procedures, Binh Phuoc province has more than 80% resolved through the method of online public services and connected to the National Public Service Portal.
When carrying out administrative procedures, investors only need to contact online or directly with a focal point, the Provincial Public Administration Service Center, to be guided on procedures, receive documents, process and return results on the spot. The time to process investment administrative procedures at all stages is shortened to only 2/3 of the time compared to regulations.
According to Ms. Hien, the province also pays attention to digital transformation in enterprises, with the goal of supporting people and enterprises in applying digital platforms to improve business efficiency and management efficiency to enhance capacity and competitiveness, creating new values for enterprises.
“In addition, with the four good foundations: good infrastructure, good human resources, good policies and good public services, Binh Phuoc determines its goal to best meet the service needs and satisfy investors when they come to the province, including EuroCham enterprises,” the Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee shared.

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Gabor Fluit, Chairman of EuroCham and General Director of De Heus Group Asia, said that EuroCham is honored to be in Binh Phuoc to create change and together shape the future of the local economy.

According to Mr. Gabor Fluit, Binh Phuoc has a strategic location in the Southern Key Economic Zone, acting as an important gateway connecting Vietnam, Cambodia and the region.
With abundant resources, Binh Phuoc will bring attractive investment opportunities in agricultural development projects, high-value crops, aquaculture, food processing, and large-scale production.
Binh Phuoc's favorable climate is an ideal condition for developing large-scale renewable energy projects, in line with the Power Plan VIII and the Cooperation Agreement for a Just Energy Transition.
According to Mr. Gabor Fluit, in the future, the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) promises to be a positive development for Binh Phuoc. The reduction of nearly 99% of tariffs in the next decade will help Binh Phuoc expand its access to the EU consumer market of 500 million people.
