Two hours before the opening ceremony of the 12th Thanh Hoa Southern Football Championship for the Hoang Nong Cup in 2025, the stands at the PM Sport Tan Binh Stadium (HCMC) were packed with seats. The tournament takes place from December 7, 2025 to January 11, 2026, with 16 participating teams, drawn into 4 groups. The group stage is played in a round-robin format, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the quarter-finals.
Drama and surprises took place in the first match of Group A. Although there were not many "stars" in the squad, the players of Nhu Xuan FC and Ba Thuoc FC gave the fans a feast of goals with a 2-2 draw.

The total prize of THF-12 is more than 100 million VND, in which the champion will receive 40 million VND along with the Cup and medals; the runner-up team will receive 20 million VND and medals; the third-place team will take home 10 million VND and medals.
