On the evening of May 19, at Nha Trang Sports Training and Competition Center, the opening ceremony of the 2023 Khanh Hoa Province Taekwondo Tournament for age groups took place.
The tournament attracted more than 100 male and female martial artists from 7 units and localities including: Nha Trang City, Cam Ranh City, Ninh Hoa Town, Dien Khanh District, Cam Lam, Van Ninh and the Provincial Youth Union. At the tournament, the martial artists competed in 2 categories of martial arts and combat with 2 age groups (group 1: from 10 - 14 years old; group 2: from 15 - 30 years old) and 20 weight categories (from 37 - over 62kg) competing for 26 sets of medals.

It is known that this is a tournament in the system of provincial sports tournaments organized by the Department of Culture and Sports. The purpose of the tournament is to create a playground, to compete, to improve the professional level of martial artists in units and localities in the province. Through this tournament, the Organizing Committee will have a step to check and evaluate the quality of martial artists, from which to select excellent martial artists at the tournament to supplement the provincial taekwondo team with a plan to train and prepare for national tournaments in the coming time. The tournament ends on May 21.
