More than 116,000 tourists came to Phu Yen during the Lunar New Year

On February 3, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thi Hong Thai said that statistics from the first to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year (January 29 to February 2) showed that the total number of tourists to Phu Yen reached 116,500, an increase of 11% over the same period last year; including 980 international visitors.

 

The total number of guests staying reached 64,800, an increase of 9% over the same period. The average occupancy rate of hotel rooms and accommodation facilities was over 62%. Some large-scale hotels with high number of guests staying during Tet such as Sala Grand Tuy Hoa, Rosa Alba Resort, Mandala Hotel & Spa Phu Yen, homestays near the beach... achieved 100% room occupancy from the 3rd to the 5th day of Tet.

 

Total revenue from tourists reached VND245 billion, up 27% over the same period last year, of which accommodation revenue was VND38 billion, up 13% over the same period last year.

 

During the Tet holidays, hotels organize many activities and services for tourists. Rosa Alba Resort Tuy Hoa organizes a 3-region buffet program - traditional Tet. Mandala hotel & spa Phu Yen organizes lucky money, spring temple trips, lion dances, spring markets, movie screenings and childhood games. Sala Grand Tuy Hoa Hotel organizes a set menu culinary program, live music at the Beach Club area. Stelia Beach Resort organizes a miniature photo shoot "Spring in the homeland", a countryside market to welcome Tet with activities such as sedge village, calligraphy at the beginning of the year, folk games. Lumiere Family Village Dong Tac organizes the first calligraphy of the year, stone instrument performances, folk games, movie screenings, singing to each other...
