Over 1.5 billion VND to support the poor in Dak Nong

On November 18, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Nong province held the launching ceremony of the Peak Month "For the Poor" in 2024.

Mr. Y Quang BKrong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Ha Thi Hanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ms. Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of agencies, departments, branches and organizations attended the launching ceremony.

According to the report at the launching ceremony, from 2020 to now, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province has received nearly 27 billion VND. From this fund, the province has supported the construction of 305 new solidarity houses and repaired 29 houses for the poor.

Ms. Ha Thi Hanh, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Nong province, called on all people, cadres, soldiers, armed forces, organizations, agencies, units, and enterprises inside and outside the province to participate in contributing to the construction of the "For the Poor" Fund.

At the launching ceremony, Ms. Ha Thi Hanh, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, read the Letter calling for support for the "Fund for the Poor" of Dak Nong province in 2024.

However, the whole province still has many poor and near-poor households living in temporary and dilapidated houses that need help from the community.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Mobilization Committee of the Fund "For the Poor" of Dak Nong province call on all people, cadres, soldiers, armed forces, organizations, agencies, units, and enterprises inside and outside the province to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, "mutual love" and participate in contributing to the construction of the Fund "For the Poor" to have more resources to support the poor, help them overcome difficulties, and escape poverty sustainably.

Right at the launching ceremony, units, organizations, businesses, philanthropists, officials, civil servants, soldiers, and armed forces directly supported and presented a symbolic board to the Provincial "For the Poor" Fund with the amount of 1,565 billion VND.
