Implementing Plan 2716/KH-BHXH of Vietnam Social Security on the program "Giving health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances - bringing a warm Tet to the poor in the Spring of Binh Ngo 2026", Ca Mau Provincial Social Security has mobilized organizations, businesses and philanthropists to participate in supporting funding.

After more than a month of launching, the provincial Social Insurance has received about 1.25 billion VND, of which local units contributed nearly 500 million VND and Vietnam Social Insurance supported 800 million VND. From this source of funding, the province plans to give more than 3,900 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Le Hung Cuong, Deputy Director of Ca Mau Provincial Social Insurance, presented health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances.

At the ceremony, the provincial Social Insurance presented 20 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Tan Thanh and Hoa Thanh wards, and symbolically presented more than 3,900 cards to representatives of the People's Committees of communes and wards to deliver to people eligible for support, contributing to expanding health insurance coverage and ensuring health care benefits for the people.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of Ca Mau Social Insurance Le Hung Cuong expressed his thanks to the organizations, businesses and donors who have accompanied the program, spreading the spirit of kindness in the community. He called on people to proactively continue participating in health insurance after their supported cards expire to protect their health and avoid interruption of medical examination and treatment benefits.

The provincial Social Insurance also continues to mobilize the cooperation of agencies, units and philanthropists to help many disadvantaged households access health insurance policies, towards the goal of universal health insurance coverage and ensuring social security.
