Regarding the capsized tourist boat Blue Bay 58 in Quang Ninh province, on the morning of July 20, information from the Department of Rescue and Relief (General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army) said that as of 5:30 a.m., authorities had rescued 10 people, found 38 bodies, and 5 people were still missing.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha was present to direct the search and rescue work for the tourists and crew members in distress.

Currently, authorities have towed the Green Bay tourist ship closer to shore, lifted the ship and pumped water out to continue search and rescue at the scene of the accident.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 19, the Green Bay 58 tourist boat was traveling on route 2 in Ha Long Bay when it suddenly capsized due to the impact of a strong storm. There were 48 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
The Green Bay ship, numbered QN-7105, is an iron-hulled ship built in 2015, owned by Mr. Doan Van Trinh (50 years old). The passengers on board are mostly permanent residents of Hanoi, including many children.
Special frogmen of Brigade 126 dived all night to search for victims.
