Over 5,000 copies of the Nhan Dan Spring Newspaper were donated to naval officers and soldiers and the people of Truong Sa.

On January 17th, in Hanoi, Nhan Dan Newspaper held a ceremony to present the 2026 Year of the Horse edition of Nhan Dan Newspaper to the Naval Command and the officers, soldiers, and people of Truong Sa.

Speaking at the ceremony, Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , and Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Le Quoc Minh, said that every Tet holiday, Nhan Dan Newspaper has a very fine tradition of donating about 40,000 Tet issues to the armed forces, especially officers and soldiers on the border and islands.

Representatives of the Naval Command received the Spring Festival issue of the newspaper for the Year of the Horse 2026, donated by Nhan Dan Newspaper.

To date, the number of copies of the 2026 Year of the Horse edition of Nhan Dan Newspaper has not even reached the required quantity, but Nhan Dan Newspaper has decided to dedicate the first few issues (approximately 5,000 copies) to the Navy, who, while the whole country is celebrating the Lunar New Year, are still guarding the nation's airspace and territorial waters.

This year, Nhan Dan Newspaper has named its Tet issue "Spring Takes Flight," both to summarize the many outstanding events and significant changes that the country experienced in 2025, and to look forward to 2026 and the next phase – a new era of growth, with the hope that the country will develop even more strongly.

Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Le Quoc Minh, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, 2025 is a very special year as it marks the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism. With the approval of the Minister of National Defense and the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, the Naval Command facilitated and organized a trip for the first time on a single ship to Truong Sa (Spratly Islands), involving more than 100 leaders of Vietnamese media agencies.

The trip yielded practical results. The leaders of the media outlets were able to witness firsthand the hardships, the efforts, and the strength of the Vietnamese Navy, and subsequently directed the creation of articles for print, radio, and television broadcasts. This further strengthened the bond between the press and the Navy more than ever before.

"I hope that the Spring editions of Nhan Dan Newspaper - with their meticulously crafted articles - will soon reach the hands of naval soldiers, so that officers and soldiers in remote islands can feel the arrival of spring and the affection of the home front for the front lines. Through the image of the horse in the spirit of 'Saint Giong rising up' on the cover of the Tet issue, we believe that 2026 will be a breakthrough year for the country, including the rise and growth of the Navy. At the same time, we believe that the bond between the press in general, and the people in particular, with the armed forces in general, and the Navy in particular, will become even stronger in the future," Mr. Le Quoc Minh shared.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tu Hoa, representing the Naval Command, expressed his honor to represent the officers and soldiers of the Navy, the soldiers on the border and islands, in receiving the heartfelt gesture from Nhan Dan Newspaper: over 5,000 Tet publications sent to the naval officers and soldiers. This is a Spring gift, a token of affection from the home front, the people of the whole country, and Nhan Dan Newspaper to the officers and soldiers.

These Spring newspapers will soon be delivered to officers and soldiers, so that they can feel the spirit of Spring, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the country's achievements... all conveyed in this product," affirmed Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tu Hoa.
