More than 500 students participated in the English Festival opening the door to the world

On the morning of November 29, at Thien Ke Secondary School, Son Thuy Commune, Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) organized the YCD Children's Festival, with the theme "English opens the door to the world". The activity is within the framework of the GNI organization's youth capacity development and support program in the project area in Tuyen Quang province.

The festival attracted the participation of more than 500 students from the Children's Capacity Development Clubs and the Global Youth Network Clubs of Dong Quy Primary School, Son Nam, Dai Phu, Hop Hoa, Dai Phu Secondary School and Thien Ke Secondary School.

At the Festival, students not only participated in exciting group games and interactive minigames, but also had the opportunity to practice and improve their English skills. The clubs brought special performances performed entirely in English. Students also actively participated in English experience activities at booths designed with diverse themes.

At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First prize to Son Nam Primary School Club; 1 Second prize, 2 Third prizes, 2 Encouragement prizes to the Clubs.

The festival is an opportunity for students to exchange, learn, and practice soft skills as well as English skills through group activities, academic games, and creative activities appropriate to the abilities of each age group. Thereby, creating a dynamic learning environment, helping students develop listening - speaking - reading - writing skills, practicing communication - cooperation - critical thinking - creativity in English for students.
