More than 500 athletes participated in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 in Nam Phu commune

On the morning of September 14, at Van Phuc Secondary School, the Running Day for the Health of the People, the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 in Nam Phu Commune took place.

The race was attended by more than 500 athletes from agencies, units, schools, businesses, armed forces and 18 villages in the area.

Opening the race, Vice Chairman of Nam Phu Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Sung emphasized that this is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2, 71st anniversary of Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025).

The Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run is a traditional sports activity, contributing to promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

The tournament is an opportunity to strengthen solidarity, exchange and learn, and select outstanding athletes to participate in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025.

The commune calls on all cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and local people to actively respond and maintain the habit of exercising, thereby forming a cultural lifestyle, improving physical and mental health, contributing to building a healthy and civilized community, and building Nam Phu commune to be increasingly dynamic and comprehensively developed.

This year's tournament has many competition categories: Middle school students 1,050m; High school students 1,400m; administrative agencies, enterprises, production workers, armed forces: Women run 1,400m, Men run 1,750m, arranged on the route around the campus of Van Phuc Middle School.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the Movement Prize to the Commune Veterans Association; 6 individual First Prizes went to athletes: Phung Huyen Minh (female - Van Phuc Secondary School), Pham Bao Nam (male - Duyen Ha Secondary School), Tran Bao Chau (female - Dong My High School), Hoang Anh Quan (male - Le Thanh Tong High School), Dang Anh Thai (male - production workers), Nguyen Thu Trang (female - production workers). In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 Second Prizes and 6 Third Prizes to athletes with high achievements.

After this competition, the Organizing Committee will select the best athletes in each competition to practice and represent the commune to participate in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 on September 28.
