According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , on September 14, the measles vaccination campaign was deployed at 84 vaccination points across the city, with a total of 6,882 injections administered. Of which, 560 injections were given to children aged 1-5 and 6,111 to children aged 6-10.

In particular, children in high-risk groups and health workers have also been guaranteed safe vaccination. The total number of cumulative injections since the beginning of the campaign is 54,023.

Measles vaccination sites at schools across the city are bustling and entering a peak period, especially for children aged 1-10 in primary schools and kindergartens. Many parents take advantage of the weekend to take their children to vaccination sites.

Accordingly, the measles vaccination campaign in Ho Chi Minh City took place smoothly and effectively, thanks to the continuous efforts of medical staff and the enthusiastic support of the community.

On August 27, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee announced a measles epidemic throughout the city. After that, the city urgently organized a measles vaccination campaign for children aged 1-10 from August 31 to present.

Medical facilities urgently prepare measles vaccine to continue vaccination.

Recently, the Department of Health also issued Document No. 9206/SYT-NVY directing medical facilities to urgently prepare vaccines and vaccinate medical staff, people working at medical examination and treatment facilities at risk of contact with people with measles; medical staff, and child care workers in high-risk groups from September 16 to September 20.

At the same time, each district, Thu Duc City is required to ensure 1-2 vaccination points are organized on Saturdays and Sundays. The vaccination points can be organized at health stations, health centers or communities.

Depending on the actual situation of the locality, additional vaccination points can be organized in densely populated residential areas, export processing zones, and industrial parks to make it convenient for parents to take their children to vaccination points.
