More than 700 athletes attended the 1st Dong Ngac Ward Sports Festival

Speaking at the opening of the congress, Chairman of Dong Ngac Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hach said that this is an event of important political and cultural significance, an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the results of the local sports movement in recent years.

At the same time, this is an opportunity to honor the athletes, coaches, outstanding groups and individuals who have actively participated in the mass sports movement, contributing to building the image of Dong Ngac people as dynamic, creative, friendly and compassionate.

The congress was attended by more than 700 outstanding athletes representing socio-political organizations, residential groups, schools, agencies, armed forces, businesses and people from all walks of life in the ward. The athletes will compete in 8 events: Badminton, chess, table tennis, shuttlecock kicking, tug of war, Chinese chess, volleyball, pickleball.

“This Congress is a vivid demonstration stated in the Resolution of the 1st Dong Ngac Ward Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, which clearly defines the goals: "Developing culture and society is associated with improving the material and spiritual life of the people, attaching importance to developing the mass sports movement" . Through this movement, Dong Ngac ward not only builds the image of a locality rich in traditions of learning and culture, but is also a bright spot in the mass sports movement", Mr. Nguyen Van Hach emphasized.

The 1st Dong Ngac Ward Sports Festival will take place from now until December 18, 2025. On the opening day, a tug of war competition took place, the results Co Nhue 2 Primary School team won first prize.
