More than 800 entries for the journalism award For the Cause of Vietnamese Education

The 2025 Vietnam Education Journalism Award received more than 800 entries from four categories: print, electronic, radio and television. Of these, 82 were selected for the final round. From these entries, the Final Round Council proposed four first prizes, eight second prizes, twelve third prizes, thirty-six consolation prizes and two outstanding characters in the two winning entries.

The award ceremony will be held on the evening of November 14th and will be broadcast live on VTV2. This information was just announced by the award organizers at a press conference this afternoon, November 12th.

According to the jury, the press award “For the cause of Vietnamese education ” has had a strong attraction to journalists. Compared to previous seasons, the number of participating units has decreased due to the merger and consolidation of mass press agencies, but the number of articles submitted to participate is still diverse and rich, stretching from North to South. The quality of local works has also been improved in both content and form, so the number of award-winning works of localities has also increased significantly compared to previous years.

The works reflect vividly on educational life and closely follow current issues in the education sector. Many of the works have left a deep impression, thanks to the elaborate investment in both content and form of expression.

In previous years, the entries analyzed the “hot” issues of the industry and the touching stories of teachers who stayed in remote areas, stayed in schools, stayed in classes, and volunteered to teach in the remote highlands of the country. In this year’s contest, in addition to the above topics and stories, the entries clearly reflected current issues of the education industry and were imbued with the breath of life.

The content of the works clearly reflects the life of teachers and closely follows current issues of the education sector. Issues of public and social concern such as Resolution 71; Education Law; Teachers Law; extra teaching and learning; tuition exemption; unified textbooks; education sector after merger; efforts to eliminate temporary classrooms; 2018 general education program; digital education; happy schools; school psychology... have been reflected through printed works from central to local levels.

Many works honor exemplary teachers and school groups who have devoted themselves day and night to the cause of education and training from preschool to university, but there are also works that criticize policies and activities in the industry to create solutions that contribute to the development of education in the current period.

The quality of the works is quite even, the gap between central and local press is narrowed. Many works are authentic, touching, touching, showing the dedication of reporters, and have a high impact on society.

2025 is the 8th year that the Ministry of Education and Training has presided over and coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize the National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education". The Education and Times Newspaper is the permanent unit and organizer. The award aims to honor authors with outstanding works on the cause of education and training of the country and to honor outstanding collectives and individuals with many contributions to the cause of educating people. Thereby, the works propagate and honor the contributions of the education sector to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland./.
