More than 84% of customers in the Central region affected by floods have had their power restored.

The Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) said that by 7 a.m. on November 1, the unit had restored power to over 400,000 customers, equivalent to more than 84% of the total number of customers affected by the recent historic floods.

EVNCPC has handled and restored 516 out of 599 incidents and flooding, reaching a rate of more than 86%. The total number of distribution transformer stations (TSAs) still without power is 763, accounting for 1.33% of the total number of TSAs of EVNCPC and 2.99% of the total TSAs of the 4 Power Companies mentioned above. The estimated load capacity is currently lost at about 42 MW, equivalent to 1.15% of the maximum capacity (Pmax) of EVNCPC and 1.95% of the maximum capacity of the 4 affected Power Companies.

At Da Nang Electricity Company, there are currently 71,482 customers (8.15%) and 717 distribution substations (6.98%) without power, with an estimated loss of capacity of about 39.18 MW (4.31%). The areas still without power are mainly in 50 communes and wards in the midland and mountainous areas, including Ngu Hanh Son, Hoa Tien, Hoa Xuan, Hoi An Tay, Hoi An, Hoi An Dong, Dien Ban Dong, Go Noi, Thu Bon, Nam Phuoc, Duy Nghia, Duy Xuyen, Son Cam Ha, Thang Dien, Thang An, Thang Truong, Thuong Duc, Vu Gia, Dai Loc, Ha Nha, Ben Hien, Phu Thuan, Dien Ban Tay, Dien Ban Bac, Hiep Duc, Kham Duc, Phuoc Nang, Phuoc Chanh, Phuoc Thanh, Viet An, Dien Ban, An Thang, Dong Giang, A Vuong, Tay Giang, Hung Son, Que Phuoc, Nong Son, Xuan Phu, Que Son, Que Son Trung, Tra Leng, Tra My, Tra Giap, Tra Tan, Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Linh and Nam Giang.

Quang Tri Electricity Company still has 2,372 customers (0.45%) and 17 substations (0.3%) without electricity, estimated lost capacity of 1.12 MW (0.26%), concentrated in 3 communes and wards of Quang Trach, Trung Thuan and Ba Don.

At Hue Electricity Company, there are currently 1,008 customers (0.29%), 16 substations (0.53%), estimated lost capacity of 0.4 MW (0.15%). The areas without electricity are in 3 wards and communes of Thuan Hoa, Phong Thai and Phong Dinh of Hue.

Quang Ngai Electricity Company still has 399 customers (0.06%), 13 substations (0.20%), estimated lost capacity of 1.30 MW (0.24%), mainly in 5 mountainous communes of Son Tay Ha, Son Ky, Tay Tra, Tra Bong and Dak Plo.

On the 110kV grid, there is currently a fault line (110kV Dak Mi 4 - Phuoc Son line) and a customer line (double circuit Tra My - Song Tranh 2 switching station) is isolated. The 2 110kV Phuoc Son and Nam Tra My substations are still temporarily out of operation. Da Nang Electricity Company is urgently inspecting and handling the scene to soon re-energize Phuoc Son 110kV substation after completing the repair of line 33 110kV Dak Mi 4 - Phuoc Son; the load of Nam Tra My 110kV substation has been partially supplied with electricity via line 472/TTG Nuoc Xa.

EVNCPC is continuing to mobilize all human resources and coordinate with local authorities to urgently restore the power system, striving to soon ensure safe, stable and continuous power supply for people in the Central region.
