On November 13, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) said that so far it has restored power to more than 1.6 million customers, accounting for more than 99% of customers affected by storm No. 13 in the Central Highlands provinces.

Currently, 15,879 customers in the two most heavily affected areas, Gia Lai and Dak Lak, are being urgently handled by power units, striving to complete restoration within the day.

In Gia Lai, the province's Electricity Company has restored 135/208 incidents, restoring power to more than 98.7% of customers, while losing power to about 12,355 customers (1.27%) and 243 transformer stations (2.1%).

In Dak Lak, the local power company has restored 110/113 incidents, restoring power to 99.5% of customers, with only 4,861 customers (0.51%) and 53 transformer stations (0.5%) being repaired.

According to EVNCPC, after the storm, the unit mobilized more than 2,800 officers, engineers, workers, equipment and materials from member units and local authorities to overcome the problems after the storm. Thanks to that, most of the loads were restored, ensuring stable power supply for production and people's daily life.

Currently, some low-lying, remote areas, flooded areas or damaged lines behind customers' meters still cannot be safely energized.

EVNCPC recommends that people check the electrical system in their home. If damage or risk of short circuit is detected, they should contact hotline 19001909 for timely support.

The unit also requested power companies to increase propaganda on electrical safety and use software to warn of abnormal output to promptly detect the risk of electrical short circuits, ensuring safety after storms and floods.
