Attending the closing ceremony were former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee - Phan Viet Cuong. Also attending the ceremony were leaders of the Department of Construction, representatives of the Dien Ban town government and Dai Loc district.

The Van Ly Bridge and Access Road Project has a total investment of VND575 billion with a total route length of 7.78km. Construction started on September 30, 2023 and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.

The completion of Van Ly bridge is of great significance, marking a historical milestone connecting the two banks of Thu Bon river, connecting the regions between Dai Loc district and Dien Ban town. This is the lifelong dream of the people who have to cross to Ong Doc ferry which has existed for generations.

Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Traffic Department informed that, after nearly 444 days of construction, Van Ly Bridge has basically been completed and the upper part has been closed.

The bridge is 459.5m long, with a balanced cantilever main span of 250m. This is a very important project. Once completed and put into use, it will bring about high economic efficiency, promote the connectivity of routes, ensure the circulation of goods and people's travel, promote socio-economic development, and improve the living standards of people in the area.

The Van Ly Bridge and approach road project was approved for investment and construction by the Provincial People's Committee in December 2022, with the Quang Nam Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor.

The project aims to complete the planned transport infrastructure system, connecting the two banks of the Thu Bon River, facilitating the circulation of goods, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the western region of the province.

To promote the effectiveness of this project, the Traffic Department requests that the authorities of Dai Loc district and Dien Ban town continue to pay attention to promoting the completion of site clearance progress to hand over the site to the contractor for construction.

Thereby, completing the project before September 2, 2025 to welcome the 23rd Provincial Party Congress of Quang Nam Province, term 2025 - 2030.
