On the evening of December 2, the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of An Giang province held a meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany (1975 - 2025) and the 1st anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of An Giang province.

Delegates reviewed the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany (1975 - 2025) and the 1st anniversary of establishing the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of An Giang province.

Over the past 50 years, Vietnam - Germany relations have been continuously expanded in many fields: Politics - diplomacy, economics - trade, education - training, science - technology, culture - society.

Vietnam is Germany's largest trading partner in Southeast Asia and its sixth largest in Asia. Germany is Vietnam's largest trading partner in Europe.

In the 2024-2025 period, Germany committed to providing Vietnam with non-refundable aid of 64 million Euros. In addition, Germany is Vietnam's leading ODA, investment, education and training partner in Europe; and is the working and studying destination of tens of thousands of Vietnamese workers and international students, of which 80% are vocational students.

Currently, there are more than 200,000 Vietnamese people living and working in Germany, including international students and workers. The two peoples are increasingly connected through cultural exchanges, local cooperation, and connecting the Vietnamese community in Germany, one of the largest and most successful Asian communities in Germany.

50 years of friendship between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany is a testament to a stable, trustworthy, substantive and effective relationship; continuing to open up many new prospects for peace, development and common prosperity of the two peoples.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of An Giang province awarded the "Women living beautifully" Association for its achievements in gathering, uniting and building the movement of women living beautifully.
