Cooperation to bring new treatment solutions for chronic diseases to Vietnam

NDO - On May 27, FPT Long Chau and Novartis Vietnam signed a strategic cooperation agreement on innovation - reaching out to health. Accordingly, the two sides cooperate to bring advanced medical solutions and treatments, serving the goal of improving the quality of health care for Vietnamese people, especially people with chronic diseases.

FPT Retail Deputy General Director and FPT Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination System CEO Nguyen Do Quyen said: "FPT Long Chau identifies its role as a bridge between global medical advances and the Vietnamese people. With a network of more than 2,000 pharmacies nationwide and a strong technology platform, we are committed to not only providing medicine, but also proactively participating in the journey of taking care of community health in a deep and sustainable way."

The partnership with Novartis is a strategic step towards realizing the vision of bringing advanced medicine closer to every citizen.

Three priorities will be focused on: capacity building for frontline pharmacists; raising public awareness of cardiovascular disease; and expanding access to advanced treatments.

With this collaboration, both parties hope to create an efficient, empathetic and sustainable healthcare ecosystem where every patient has access to the best care.

Long Chau pharmacist training program "Accompanying chronic patients to live healthy all year round".

Within the framework of the event, the two units and the Ho Chi Minh City Pharmacy Association launched a training program for Long Chau pharmacists with the theme: "Accompanying chronically ill patients to live healthy all year round".

The program will train and reach more than 18,000 Long Chau pharmacists, improve frontline practice capacity, equip them with updated medical knowledge and in-depth consulting skills, focusing on 4 common chronic disease groups: hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart failure and dyslipidemia.

Medical experts will guide pharmacists on how to use drugs safely, support patients in complying with treatment, thereby improving long-term treatment outcomes. In particular, in-depth training courses will be taught directly by leading experts from leading hospitals to ensure practical application and effectiveness in the community.
