On December 10, the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province announced that it has included in the auction plan two "golden" land plots to call for investment in building infrastructure for high-end tourism and resorts.
Accordingly, on December 28, the Thua Thien - Hue Province Property Auction Service Center is expected to hold an auction of the land plot at 5 Le Loi Street next to the Huong River.
This "golden" land is 8,012.3 m2 wide with the starting price for land use rights lease of nearly 823.9 million VND/year (excluding other taxes and fees as prescribed).
The auction winner will be leased land for 10 years to build a high-end tourist service area (no accommodation) with a height of 1 floor, total investment of about 19.7 billion VND, serving capacity of about 150 guests/time; in harmony with the surrounding area, creating a highlight on the southern bank of the Huong River.
Land plot No. 5 Le Loi is expected to be leased for 10 years to build a high-end service area with a scale of one floor or less, without accommodation.
This land is located between the luxury hotel Azerai La Residence and the 11.5 m planned road along the Perfume River, next to the Hue Academy of Music.
On December 29, Thua Thien - Hue province also organized an auction of a "golden" land plot of 7,081.5 m2 at 8-10 Phan Boi Chau Street and 19 Nguyen Hue Street (Hue City) with the aim of building a commercial, service and 4-5 star luxury hotel complex with 80-100 rooms with a total investment of more than 675 billion VND.

The assets on the land are 2 office buildings of the Department of Transport and Thua Thien - Hue Road 1 Joint Stock Company with a total construction area of 2,218.7 m2 and floor area of 3,794.2 m2.
The assets attached to the land of Thua Thien - Hue Road 1 Joint Stock Company at 19 Nguyen Hue are auctioned together with the auction of public assets. The remaining value of these assets will be returned to the enterprise whose land was recovered from the person to whom the State allocated or leased land through auction according to regulations.
The headquarters of the Department of Transport of Thua Thien - Hue province is located at land plot number 8-10 Phan Boi Chau street and number 19 Nguyen Hue street (Hue city) and is preparing for auction.
The starting price for the auction of this land plot is nearly 231 billion VND, of which more than 220 billion VND is for the auction of land use rights transfer in the form of a 50-year land lease with one-time payment for the entire lease period; nearly 8.9 billion VND is the value of the assets on the land, including the value of the assets that must be returned to Thua Thien - Hue Road 1 Joint Stock Company.
Recently, Thua Thien - Hue province has arranged and relocated many agencies with offices located on "golden" land plots on Le Loi and Nguyen Hue streets to call for investment.
In 2021, this locality announced the auction of the "golden" land plots No. 22-24 and No. 26-30A Le Loi Street to build a 5-star high-end hotel and commercial service complex.
According to regulations, investors must spend money to buy back the old offices on these lands to… demolish them before building a hotel and commercial service complex. Therefore, this is one of the obstacles that makes it difficult for these lands to attract investors.
