Listening to and practicing Xoan singing is one of the activities that attracts many tourists when visiting the Hung Lo community cultural tourism destination.
In 2021, the Provincial People's Committee officially recognized Hung Lo as a community-based cultural tourism destination, opening up opportunities to effectively exploit the unique historical and cultural values of the locality. Through the ups and downs of time, the old village customs and traditions have been preserved and passed down through generations by the local people, creating a unique attraction for this destination.
Visiting Hung Lo, tourists have the opportunity to explore a complex of ancient architecture including communal houses, temples, and pagodas, most notably the communal house with a history of over 300 years – a place preserving many typical tangible cultural values of traditional Vietnamese architecture. More than just a community space, Hung Lo communal house is also associated with unique cultural activities, customs, and traditions linked to the worship of Hung Kings, most notably Xoan singing – a unique folk art form of the ancestral land that has been recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Here, visitors can directly enjoy ancient Xoan folk songs through performances by artisans, singers, and actors from Xoan folk song troupes. The simple yet profound melodies not only recreate the rich spiritual life of the ancient people but also contribute to spreading the value of this precious intangible cultural heritage. In addition, experiential activities such as visiting ancient houses, making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), preparing traditional rice noodles, exploring rural markets, and high-tech agricultural models create unique highlights, allowing visitors not only to "see" but also to "participate and live" with the local people.

Tourists experience making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) at Hung Lo community cultural tourism site.
In 2022, the Hung Lo community tourism product group was recognized as achieving OCOP 3-star standard. This is an important milestone, contributing to standardizing products, improving service quality, and increasing economic value for the people. Developing tourism associated with traditional craft villages not only preserves cultural values but also opens up new directions in the socio-economic development of the locality. Comrade Nguyen Duc Khanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Van Phu Ward said: In recent times, the locality has implemented many comprehensive solutions to improve the quality of community tourism products. Transportation infrastructure and environmental landscapes have been improved; heritage values such as Xoan singing and traditional festivals have been emphasized for preservation and promotion. People have been trained in tourism skills, from welcoming and guiding to food preparation; at the same time, links with travel businesses have been strengthened, and the application of technology in promoting the image of the destination has been promoted.
Thanks to these efforts, Hung Lo community tourism is increasingly asserting its appeal. From the beginning of 2026 to the present, Van Phu ward has welcomed hundreds of tourist groups with more than 8,000 visitors; of which, the Hung Lo community cultural tourism site alone attracted 5,000 visitors, including nearly 20 international groups with about 400 visitors. These impressive figures are clear evidence of the vitality of an ancient village that still retains its pristine beauty, where tourists can fully experience the rhythm of life and the depth of local culture.

Hung Lo Temple, with a history of over 300 years, is a place that preserves many typical tangible cultural values of traditional Vietnamese architecture.
Beyond simply attracting tourists, the development of community-based tourism in Hung Lo plays a crucial role in increasing local income, promoting socio-economic development, and strengthening awareness of heritage preservation within the community. In the future, the locality will continue to promote and publicize tourism; improve service quality, aiming to upgrade OCOP (One Commune One Product) products; and develop Hung Lo into an attractive destination on the journey to explore the roots of the Vietnamese nation.
With a well-planned approach and the concerted efforts of the government and the people, Hung Lo community tourism promises to continue developing sustainably, becoming a bright spot on the tourism map of the ancestral land.
