Contribute to building new advanced rural areas

As of November 2025, Hung Yen province has 759 agricultural cooperatives; 960 agricultural cooperative groups, an increase of 50 cooperative groups compared to 2024 and 2 agricultural cooperative unions. Agricultural cooperatives attract 424,465 members, an average of 559 members/cooperative.

The activities of cooperatives and cooperative groups have made positive contributions to the socio -economic development in the area. With a dynamic and creative spirit, cooperatives and cooperative groups in Tan Hung commune have constantly innovated their methods of operation, promoted production - consumption linkages, created agricultural value chains, developed sustainably, and become an important driving force in building new rural areas, improving people's income and life.

A typical example is the Green Pho Hien Agricultural Cooperative (Ne Chau, Tan Hung Commune) which has affirmed its role as a "bridge" between farmers and the market. The Cooperative manages 20 hectares of longan, including specialty varieties such as ancient pulp and Huong Chi. The Cooperative guides members in farming according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP processes and invests in synchronous packaging, increasing product value. Cooperative Director Bui Thi Huong said that the Cooperative has signed consumption contracts with many businesses, bringing products to e-commerce platforms and supermarkets.

Many households have an income of 200-300 million VND/year, some households reach more than 500 million VND. In addition to longan, Pho Hien Green Cooperative also researches and develops products from local specialties such as longan, lotus-wrapped longan, honey, lotus seeds, tapioca starch... Currently, the Cooperative is gradually building its brand and expanding exports.

Or we can mention the Quyet Thang Specialty Fruit and Aquaculture Cooperative (Tan Hung Commune) is a typical collective economic model linking production with agricultural product consumption. The Cooperative was established in 2017, has 17 members, manages more than 30 hectares of longan grown according to VietGAP standards, output of about 150 tons/year; in parallel, develops 70 fish cages on the Red River, output reaches 500-600 tons of fish per year, revenue of more than 50 billion VND.

According to Mr. Tran Van My, Director of Quyet Thang Specialty Fruit Tree and Aquaculture Cooperative, in the past, people were small-scale producers, and the consumption of agricultural products was completely dependent on traders, so prices were unstable. Since the establishment of the Cooperative, members have joined hands and shared experiences in farming, aquaculture, and production linkages; the Cooperative signed contracts to purchase products, so all agricultural products produced were consumed, and the quality and value of goods increased. The annual income of Cooperative members reached 500-700 million VND.

Assessing the role of the collective economy, the People's Committee of Tan Hung commune affirmed that cooperatives have become a pillar in the local socio-economic development, contributing to restructuring the agricultural sector, creating jobs, increasing income and building advanced new rural areas. In the coming time, the commune will continue to support cooperatives in accessing preferential capital, promoting trade, promoting products, and expanding markets. In particular, the commune will focus on training human resources for management, fostering digital transformation skills, and modern management, aiming towards a new cooperative model, operating professionally, linking production and consumption according to the value chain.

Profit of billions of dong, creating jobs for local workers

From a greenhouse with an area of 400m2 built in 2016, up to now, An Thinh Phat Vegetable and Medicinal Plant Production and Supply Cooperative (Tong Tran commune) under the leadership of Mr. Bui Duy Phuong has expanded to 10 greenhouses, with a total area of 12,000m2, applying high-tech agricultural production. This is one of the first greenhouse-using cooperatives in the North. Not only building effective production development strategies, the cooperative also creates jobs for many local workers, bringing a new wind to the collective economic sector.

An Thinh Phat Cooperative has applied high-tech greenhouses to grow safe vegetables and fruits, along with automatic drip irrigation technology, combined with organic fertilizers, and biological pest management. All of these create a complete process for producing clean, high-quality vegetables and fruits such as cucumbers, cantaloupes, bell peppers, tomatoes, etc. The Cooperative has 2 products certified as OCOP products: Maya cucumbers meeting 3-star standards, and cantaloupes meeting 4-star standards. The Cooperative uses QR codes to integrate product information to help consumers easily trace the origin.

Every year, An Thinh Phat Cooperative supplies the market with 140-150 tons of safe agricultural products, of which 70% is supplied to large supermarkets through intermediaries, the rest is distributed to stores; annual revenue reaches over 3 billion VND, profit reaches 1 billion VND. In addition, the Cooperative creates stable jobs for 10 workers with an income of 5-9 million VND/person/month. The Cooperative is also a place where farmers, associations and unions inside and outside the province come to exchange, learn experiences, apply good practices, and apply high technology to agricultural production.

Originating from the concern of "good harvest, low price", the story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham, Director of Crispy Glutinous Corn Processing Cooperative (Hong Chau ward) is the aspiration to change traditional production thinking with a sustainable linkage model.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham informed that the Cooperative started with specific tasks such as establishing a clear purchasing process, building a preliminary processing warehouse, investing in machinery for separating kernels, drying corn, and packaging according to the requirements of businesses. In particular, the Cooperative does not buy at a forced price but always commits to stable purchasing according to the contract, helping people feel secure in their long-term commitment. Currently, on average, each year the Cooperative purchases thousands of tons of raw materials for sale to large domestic and foreign enterprises and processes hundreds of tons of fresh, crispy, dried sticky corn for sale, earning nearly 3 billion VND. With the desire to become a support for farmers, the Cooperative always aims to build a sustainable value chain, with long-term attachment between the Cooperative and the people. Currently, the Cooperative for Processing Crispy Sticky Corn has 8 core members, creating jobs for 45-50 local workers.
