Huong Giang confidently performs in swimsuit at Miss Universe 2025

(Dan Tri) - On November 14, Nguyen Huong Giang and other contestants of Miss Universe 2025 participated in the swimsuit competition within the framework of the contest in Pattaya (Thailand).

In this segment of the competition, the Vietnamese representative performed relatively smoothly and safely. Wearing an orange two-piece swimsuit, Huong Giang confidently executed spins and strides, receiving many supportive comments from viewers watching live and via video .

However, compared to the South American representatives and some strong contestants from Asia, Huong Giang's performance was considered quite safe.

Physical measurements are also not an advantage for the Vietnamese representative. With a height of 1.68m and measurements of 86-62-90cm, Huong Giang is considered well-proportioned but not truly outstanding compared to the "international beauty pageant" standard, which favors contestants over 1.73m with impressive body proportions.

According to the organizers, the final score is compiled from the following segments: swimsuit presentation, evening gown presentation, national costume presentation, and closed-door interview. These are crucial categories that determine a contestant's chances of advancing to the next round.

Miss Universe 2025 took place in Thailand from November 2nd to 21st with 123 contestants. From the very beginning, the competition was plagued by controversies related to its organization, causing fans to worry about the quality of the event.

Following activities in Bangkok and Phuket, the contestants traveled to Pattaya for final events before the semi-final and final rounds on November 21st.

Throughout the journey, Huong Giang impressed with her confidence, professionalism, and stage experience accumulated from many years of working in the entertainment industry.

As of November 14th, she was among the leading contestants in voting categories such as: Beyond The Crown (Meaningful Social Project), Most Beautiful People (Inspiring Beauty), and People's Choice (Most Popular Contestant).

Speaking to Missosology, Huong Giang said: “I believe it’s time to write history. My appearance at this competition carries the hopes of a community, adding meaning to the beauty and value of women. I believe that true courage can change destiny.”

As the only transgender contestant and also one of the oldest contestants in the competition, Huong Giang maintained a consistent performance, radiating positive energy throughout the competition.

Beauty pageant websites such as Missosology and Sash Factor (Philippines) highly praised her performance, predicting that the Vietnamese representative could make it into the top 15. Sash Factor commented that Huong Giang possesses "a professional stage presence, excellent communication skills, and a positive energy."
