The "Green Sunday" movement was actively responded to by Phu Bai farmers' association members.

Since 2021, in order to mobilize farmer members to implement the policy of converting crop and livestock structure, the Party Committee and Farmers' Association of Phu Bai ward have launched many movements such as: reclaiming land, combining fish pond farming with lotus planting, developing livestock farming according to farm and family farm models... Thanks to that, it has encouraged farmers to boldly convert and diversify suitable occupations.

Ms. Le Thi Hoai Uyen, a farmer member in residential group 1A Thuy Phu, Phu Bai ward, is a typical example of pioneering the conversion of lotus seed growing model to bring high income. With the accumulated capital and support from the ward's Farmers' Association, Ms. Uyen's family invested in reclaiming and restoring long-abandoned lands, digging ponds and buying lotus seeds for experimental planting. Realizing that the profit from lotus was quite high, her family continued to grow on a large area. After more than 4 years, her family's lotus growing area reached 18 hectares.

“My family’s lotus products have barcodes to trace the origin of goods at the National Barcode and Code Center, ready to be exported through official channels. On average, each month my family has a revenue of 225 million VND from selling seedlings, dried lotus seeds, leaves, tubers, lotus hearts, lotus root starch, lotus root jam... Thanks to that, the family’s life is increasingly improved” - Ms. Uyen shared.

Like Ms. Uyen, farmer member Tran Nhu Thao in residential group 1B Thuy Phu, Phu Bai ward also responded to the association's movement, making efforts to implement the project of raising cows, goats for breeding and raising organic chickens; at the same time, supporting local people to replicate the model, in order to increase household income.

According to Mr. Tran Nhu Thao, the family's revenue from all types of livestock is about 250 million VND/year. It is expected that revenue will continue to increase in the coming years when his family continues to expand the livestock model, increase the herd of cows, breeding goats and the number of organic chickens...

Along with the movement to direct farmers to implement the policy of converting crop and livestock structure, the movements of farmers participating in ensuring national defense, security, building new rural areas... have been effectively implemented by the Farmers' Association branches in the ward. Notably, the Farmers' Association Branch of Residential Group 8 has mobilized farmer members to coordinate with the Ward Police and the urban management team to conduct night patrols to ensure order in the area, reminding business households not to encroach on roads, sidewalks, and sidewalks to ensure urban landscape; participating in launching movements for the whole people to protect national security, preventing and fighting against crimes occurring in the area. Or the Farmers' Association Branch of Residential Group Ha, Phu Bai Ward mobilized farmer members to donate more than 2,000m2 of land and trees on the land to build 2 concrete roads within the field in the movement of farmers participating in building new rural areas...

Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Phu Bai Ward Pham Xuan Hau said that the Farmers' Association branches in the area always propose effective solutions to direct the farmers' movement to implement the Party's policies and resolutions. This is the result of the process of innovating propaganda, mobilization and support for farmers' association members. Therefore, the Farmers' Association of the ward is interested in promoting innovation in propaganda, mobilization, organizing activities to participate in Party building, building a clean and strong government and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc. In particular, there are effective solutions to direct the association's work and farmers' movement to implement the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels for the new term 2025 - 2030.
