Singer Jessie J announced that she has overcome cancer after nearly a year of treatment. On her personal page, the British singer shared that she had just received the results of her routine health check-up and was confirmed to have no more cancerous cells in her body.
"I cried for hours before I felt like I could actually breathe for the first time in a year," Jessie J shared.
The 38-year-old singer posted a video of herself at the hospital for an MRI scan. In the video, Jessie J admitted she was very nervous before receiving the results. “I went back for my annual checkup. Honestly, I’m terrified. They said I didn’t need a contrast injection this time, but looking at the needle in my arm, I think I did,” she said.
Immediately after posting, the singer's post received numerous congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues alike.

Jessie J, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, publicly revealed she had early-stage breast cancer in 2025. In June of that year, she underwent a mastectomy (removal of one breast) to prevent the disease from progressing. Following the surgery, the singer had to postpone many performance plans to focus on treatment and recovery. Shortly after, she announced she needed another surgery, causing further delays to her tour schedule.
Throughout her battle with illness, Jessie J has repeatedly spoken candidly about the psychological pressures she faced. At the Music Industry Trust Awards, the singer revealed that her health setback had completely changed her perspective on life.
“This year has changed my world . It changed my perspective, it changed the things I choose to fight for. When death knocks on your door and you are forced to confront it, things are never the same again,” she said.
In late 2025, Jessie J posted a picture of herself crying on social media, admitting to being in a bad mental state after months of continuous work and treatment. However, the singer stated that she chose to confront her emotions rather than hide her exhaustion behind a positive facade.
