In the 17th minute at Parc des Princes, the English striker opened the scoring for the visitors from the penalty spot, after Luis Diaz was fouled by defender Willian Pacho inside the penalty area. However, the match quickly became dramatic as PSG ultimately won 5-4, making it the highest-scoring semi-final in Champions League history.
Although Bayern couldn't maintain their lead, Kane's goal was still particularly significant. This goal helped him reach the milestone of 60 direct contributions to a goal in a single season (54 goals, 6 assists), the best performance of the 1993-born striker's career.
Not stopping there, Kane also made history by becoming the first English player to score in six consecutive Champions League matches, surpassing the previous record held by legendary Steven Gerrard.
In domestic competitions, Kane is also aiming for another major milestone. He currently has 33 goals in 28 Bundesliga matches this season, just short of Robert Lewandowski's record of 41 goals set in the 2020/21 season. However, with only three rounds remaining, this task seems difficult.
Returning to the match against PSG, after Kane's goal, Bayern added three more goals from Michael Olise, Dayot Upamecano, and Diaz. However, PSG proved more effective, scoring five goals through Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (both with a brace), and Joao Neves.
Despite winning 5-4 in the first leg, PSG are not guaranteed a place in the final when they play the second leg at Allianz Arena next week.
