Sending workers to work abroad for a limited period of time is one of the major policies of the Party and the State. This is also one of the goals of our province in supporting and creating jobs for workers with high incomes, helping them to stabilize their lives soon.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, said that the work of supporting job creation for local and domestic workers and temporary workers abroad has met the plan every year. Every year, the whole province creates jobs for over 56,000 people, of which about 2,000 - 2,500 people go to work abroad.

Recently, the Department of Home Affairs signed a cooperation agreement on dispatching and receiving seasonal workers to Korea with the Anseong City Government, Gyeonggi Province, opening up more opportunities for temporary work for workers. According to the agreement, the conditions for recruiting and receiving workers are applied to male and female workers from 25 to 45 years old; in which priority is given to experienced farmers/fishermen. Working hours are 7-8 hours per day, but workers and employers can agree to adjust working hours within a maximum limit of 10 hours per day.

“This agreement marks an important step forward in sending workers from the province to work abroad; opening up opportunities for exchange and cooperation between the two localities of the two countries; creating conditions for Dak Lak workers to go to Korea to work, increase income and update and summarize more knowledge and experience in the agricultural/fishery sector to return to serve their home province,” Mr. Thuan shared.

Mr. Seugsu Son, Director of the Anseong City Agricultural Policy Department, said: "The signing of this cooperation agreement aims to solve the labor shortage problem of Gyeonggi province. This is also a good opportunity for Gyeonggi province to have more cooperation in many fields with Dak Lak province. It is expected that each year, we will need to recruit about 100 - 300 workers to work on farms, and then increase it."

The above agreement is a good sign for workers in the province who want to work abroad for a limited period of time. It is forecasted that in 2026, there will be more job opportunities for workers in Korea in particular and other countries in the region that need to recruit foreign workers such as Japan, Taiwan (China) ... in general.

Director of Dak Lak Department of Home Affairs Truong Ngoc Tuan and Mr. Seugsu Son, Director of Anseong City Agricultural Policy Department signed a cooperation agreement on sending and receiving seasonal workers.

To promote the sending of workers to work abroad for a limited period, since the beginning of the year, the Dak Lak Provincial Employment Service Center has provided labor export consultation to 3,223 workers in need; introduced 101 workers to preliminary selection at companies, the number of workers leaving the country is 199 people. Coordinated with the Overseas Labor Center to carry out tasks related to the EPS program such as: Notifying and guiding procedures for workers selected by Korean enterprises and leaving to work in Korea (121 people); receiving applications from 370 workers registering to take the Korean language test in the agriculture, manufacturing and primary industries in 2025.

Mr. Le Hai Ly, Director of Dak Lak Province Employment Service Center, said: The signing of a cooperation agreement on sending and receiving seasonal workers to Korea is opening a new direction in creating jobs and increasing income for workers in the province. The Center will organize consultation sessions and introduce workers to help them have job opportunities, increase their income and stabilize their lives.

In reality, sending workers to work abroad for a limited period of time not only brings economic efficiency but also achieves social goals. In particular, during the process of working abroad, workers also improve their technical expertise, foreign languages, acquire advanced technologies, industrial working style, forming a team of highly skilled workers. After returning home, most of the workers have solid skills, foreign language proficiency, and can easily find high-income jobs, meeting the requirements of the country's industrialization and modernization.
