Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Tay Nam, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, said that along with the task of solving domestic employment, the city always focuses on expanding employment opportunities for workers through programs sending workers to work for a limited period of time abroad, especially in the Korean and Japanese markets. In recent times, Hanoi has had nearly 8,000 workers participating in the EPS and IM Japan programs return home, contributing to improving income and raising living standards.

Workers who have worked in Korea and Japan exchange job information with foreign investment enterprises.

After 3-5 years of living and working in a developed industrial environment, workers are equipped with foreign languages, skills, and professional working style; their skills are significantly improved. This is an important foundation to help them easily find jobs in the country or start their own business after returning home. In fact, many EPS and IM Japan workers have successfully started their own businesses, taking on technical and management positions in domestic enterprises, becoming inspirational role models for the young workforce.

However, in addition to the positive results, many workers still face difficulties in finding suitable jobs after returning home. This causes anxiety for workers whose contracts abroad are about to expire. Therefore, according to Mr. Nguyen Tay Nam, supporting domestic job connections is an urgent requirement, both helping workers stabilize their lives and contributing to reducing illegal residence abroad.

At the fair, Mr. Dang Huy Hong, Director of the Overseas Labor Center, said that the EPS Program has been implemented for more than 20 years, sending more than 145,000 Vietnamese workers to work in Korea. Not only does it provide stable income, many stories of workers establishing sustainable careers after returning home have shown the far-reaching effectiveness of the program.

To honor those efforts, the “EPS Labor Successfully Start a Business in 2025” Contest was organized in coordination with the HRD Office in Vietnam. The Organizing Committee selected outstanding candidates who possess effective production and business models, are strong-willed, and know how to utilize skills and capital accumulated from Korea to develop their careers in their homeland. These are also “inspirational ambassadors” for the EPS labor community.

This year's job fair attracted 54 participating businesses, offering 1,880 job vacancies in many fields: CNC engineering, mechanics, electricity, electronics, translation and interpretation, machine operation, production workers... Notably, many FDI enterprises from Korea and Japan have a large recruitment demand, giving priority to experienced workers from these two countries.

According to the Organizing Committee's summary, 347 targets have an income of 15 million VND/month or more, accounting for 18.5%, mainly for positions of engineers, translators, supervisors, department heads and deputy heads. The income of 10-15 million VND/month accounts for the largest proportion with 643 targets (34.2%), suitable for groups of accountants, office workers, technicians and skilled workers.

Not only diverse in professions, many businesses in the service, construction and transportation sectors also participate in recruitment, helping workers have more choices in the long-term career orientation process.

Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, emphasized: This job fair is an important opportunity to help EPS workers and IM Japan interns return home to find stable jobs soon, while also encouraging workers working in Korea and Japan to feel secure when their contracts expire, contributing to building a healthy and sustainable labor market.
