The spillway operation at Song Bung 2, Song Bung 4, and A Vuong hydropower reservoirs has ended.

DNO - On the evening of December 15th, the hydropower reservoir management units on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin announced the end of flood control spillway operations for Song Bung 2, Song Bung 4, and A Vuong reservoirs, in accordance with the directive of the Da Nang City Civil Defense Command.

Based on the operating procedures for interconnected reservoirs in the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin and the directives of the Da Nang City Civil Defense Command, the Song Bung 4 and Song Bung 2 hydropower reservoirs ceased water discharge through the spillway from 7 PM on December 15th.

A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Company announces the cessation of spillway discharge operations at the A Vuong hydropower reservoir at 7:30 PM on December 15th.

Specifically, the Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Plant will operate to store water in the Song Tranh 2 reservoir during the late flood season to ensure water supply for downstream areas during the dry season of 2026, as stipulated in Procedure 1865, starting at 8 PM on December 15th. The expected discharge through the spillway will be from 20 to 300 /s (depending on the inflow into the reservoir).
