Overcoming traffic problems in Quan Toan area (Hai Phong)

On November 12, Secretary of the Hong An Ward Party Committee Do Viet Hung and Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Nguyen Huu Thanh had a dialogue with people, businesses, and units in the ward.

Receiving opinions from people and businesses, the leaders of the Party Committee and the Hong An ward government answered many questions and issues on Party building and socio -economic development, in which the most prominent were the inadequacies in the traffic situation in the Quan Toan area, which attracted many people's attention.

Regarding people's reflection on the complicated situation and potential risk of traffic accidents in Quan Toan area, ward leaders said that the ward currently has 2 national highways passing through, with many means of transport and a number of serious traffic accidents have occurred.

Quan Toan intersection area ( Hai Phong ) has a large traffic volume.

To overcome this problem, the Ward Police coordinated to organize traffic flow and regulation; check and handle cases of placing obstacles, illegal parking of cars, illegal market holding, encroachment on roads and sidewalks causing traffic obstruction along Hung Vuong, Hai Trieu streets, Nomura Industrial Park gate...

In the coming time, the People's Committee of Hong An Ward will assign the Ward Police to survey and propose the City Traffic Safety Committee and the City Police to re-plan traffic at the Quan Toan intersection to ensure safety.

Hong An ward residents expressed their opinions at the dialogue.

Regarding the proposal that the repair progress of Quan Toan 1 road is very slow, affecting people's lives, the ward leader informed that there are currently 4 households that have not yet handed over the site because they have not yet agreed on the compensation plan and price, leading to the construction progress not being guaranteed as planned.

Hong An Ward People's Committee is focusing on removing obstacles, speeding up site clearance progress, and handing over the project to the construction unit to complete the project soon.

People reported that in the Quan Toan 2 street area, there are many cars parked on the road, affecting traffic. The leader of Hong An ward said that he has directed the ward's Traffic Safety Committee and the ward police to increase patrols, remind and regulate traffic here.

The Ward People's Committee assigned the Ward Police to study and propose to the Department of Construction to put up signs prohibiting parking by the hour or in the entire street.
