Quickly fix 116 damaged points to ensure clean water supply

Timely handling of incidents at the main pipeline with a diameter of 225 mm supplying An Duc, Van Phuc communes and part of Ung Hoe commune (Ninh Giang)

After storm No. 3, all 26 factories and clean water stations under the company have increased inspections and detected incidents at key projects and water supply pipeline systems in the areas under their management.

All raw water pumping stations were isolated by floodwaters.

From September 8 to September 19, the company discovered and completed 116 damaged construction and pipeline locations, directly affecting the clean water supply. Many damaged locations are located on the main water supply axes, affecting thousands of customers such as the main pipeline sections with a diameter of 225 mm supplying An Duc, Van Phuc communes and part of Ung Hoe commune (Ninh Giang); the section supplying Quang Nghiep, Dan Chu, Dai Hop communes (Tu Ky); secondary pipelines in Tan Viet, Thanh Xuan (Thanh Ha), Le Loi (Gia Loc) communes; power outages in An Lac ward (Chi Linh), Thai Thinh and Thang Long commune (Kinh Mon)...

Thanks to the initiative, the company has maintained production and ensured water supply for customers, except for areas with prolonged power outages. In addition, factories and water stations in communes have issued notices for customers to proactively store water and use it economically before the storm; and advised and guided customers in flooded areas to check their water supply pipes and clean water containers after the storm.

Hai Duong Rural Water and Sanitation Joint Stock Company currently ensures clean water supply for people in 52 communes in Hai Duong province. Of which, the company directly supplies water to 48 communes with more than 95,000 customers and wholesales through the main meter to 4 communes with nearly 9,000 customers.
