Hanoi hotel on 'world's best 2026' list

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is one of 15 hotels in Asia and the only representative of Vietnam on the Fodor's Finest 2026 list of this guide.

According to Fodor's, the hotel is located in Hoan Kiem ward, consisting of two buildings with 358 rooms. The Heritage Wing (renovated in 2023) has a classic French and Vietnamese architectural style. The Opera Wing has a neoclassical style with three tones of black, white, and red. Room rates start at VND9 million.

Fodor's also praised the culinary experience at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, with Michelin-recommended restaurant Le Beaulieu (Michelin Selected) and Spice Garden.

The list of 100 hotels was selected by experts from 765,000 hotels and resorts, to give suggestions to tourists planning to travel next year. The hotels are divided by continent for easy searching. This year, the list has representatives from 49 countries and territories.

In Asia, Fordo's Travel announced 15 hotels. According to the American guide, Asia is a melting pot of cultures, cuisines, traditions and languages. Therefore, hotels offer a rich variety of designs, styles, prices and experiences for visitors. Honoring the best hotels in Asia is not easy, candidates must meet the criteria of landscape, culture, beauty of Asia as well as elite service, luxurious architecture.
