
Attending the opening ceremony of the competition were representatives from the Department of Education and Training, representatives from specialized departments within the Department; representatives from several businesses in Tan Phong and Doan Ket wards; teachers who directly guided the students; and students whose projects participated in the competition.
This year's competition features 121 research projects (including 69 projects from junior high schools and 52 projects from senior high schools) submitted by 237 students in 57 teams from 34 communes/wards and 23 senior high schools and ethnic boarding high schools under the Department of Education. The projects cover 18 fields: Social and Behavioral Sciences , Biochemistry, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Embedded Systems, Energy Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, Mathematics, System Software, Animal Science, Microbiology, Robotics and Intelligent Machines, Chemical Energy, Bioengineering, Chemistry - Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Science (Technology), Physics and Astronomy.

The science and technology research competition, organized annually by the Department of Education and Training, has become a valuable and attractive intellectual playground for students in junior and senior high schools throughout Lai Chau province. The competition is not only an opportunity for students to showcase their research abilities, creativity, and presentation skills, but also a chance for them to interact, learn, and broaden their scientific and technological horizons. Through this, it affirms the Lai Chau Education Department's commitment to promoting scientific research among students, aiming to build a dynamic and creative generation that contributes to the sustainable development of the locality and the country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the competition, Mr. Mac Quang Dung - Director of the Department of Education and Training and Head of the Competition Steering Committee - requested the Judging Panel to work seriously and in accordance with the regulations, ensuring scientific, objective, and fair judging, upholding a high sense of responsibility in performing their duties; proposing the best projects to be selected to participate in the National Science and Technology Research Competition; and urging teachers to continue encouraging and guiding their students to participate well in the competition. He also hoped that the students would participate in the competition with a relaxed, open-minded, and confident attitude during the presentation of their scientific products and projects to achieve the best possible results.
