(Dong Nai) - On the morning of February 11th, at the Dong Nai Provincial Library, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Journalists Association, inaugurated the Dong Nai Spring Press Festival for the Year of the Horse 2026.

Attending the opening ceremony were: Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son; Provincial Party Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Thi Hong Trang; Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan; Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio and Television Tran Nam Dong; representatives of leaders of provincial departments and agencies, and leaders of Tran Bien ward.

In her opening remarks at the press festival, Provincial Party Committee member and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Nguyen Thi Hong Trang, emphasized: The Dong Nai Provincial Spring Press Festival is an annual cultural event that attracts journalists, artists, readers, and people in the province to visit during the traditional Lunar New Year; it is a cultural playground and professional activity for journalists in the province.

The Dong Nai Spring Press Festival for the Year of the Horse 2026 will display and introduce over 300 publications including books, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and special Tet (Lunar New Year) editions from press agencies inside and outside the province, as well as from provincial departments and agencies. These publications will comprehensively and fully reflect the socio-economic development achievements of the country and localities in 2025.

Within the framework of the Dong Nai Spring Newspaper Festival for the Year of the Horse 2026, over 50 outstanding images of current events, politics, economics, culture, and social affairs from 2025 are also on display. This year, nine news bulletins from nine departments and agencies are participating in the Spring News Bulletin Award for the Year of the Horse 2026.

A highlight of this year's Spring Newspaper Festival is the online Spring Newspaper Exhibition, featuring 200 digitized Spring newspapers and magazines from central and local authorities. This offers a completely new look, allowing readers to easily access and read the Spring Newspapers of the Year of the Horse anytime, anywhere, with just a few simple steps.

The exhibition runs until February 21st (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), serving readers from near and far who wish to visit and read the Lunar New Year newspapers both in person and online.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to the authors and groups of authors who won high prizes in the 5th Political Commentary Contest on Protecting the Ideological Foundation of the Party, 2025; and awarded prizes to the units, departments, and agencies participating in the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Horse 2026. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 12 Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards of Dong Nai Province, 6th edition, 2025 (including 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, and 6 consolation prizes) to the winning authors/groups of authors.

In particular, the A prize was awarded to the group of authors Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, Dinh Thi Da Thy, Ngo Nguyen Chi Cuong, Dinh Tien Dung, Luu Quang Son, Nguyen Hoang Huan, Tran Thi Bich Tuyen, and Do Thi Dieu Hien for their work "Dong Nai and the whole country enter a new era" (television category).

Two B prizes were awarded to the group of authors Phan Thị Kim Ngân, Lê Thúy Hà, Trần Thị Ngân Triều, and Nguyễn Hoàng Hải for their work "Digital Integrity - An Administration for the People" (a four-part series, online newspaper) and the group of authors Trần Thị Kiều Diễm, Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Anh, Lê Thị Liên, Đoàn Thị Hằng, Nguyễn Trung Kiên, and Nguyễn Hữu Trung for their work "Dong Nai - From the Spirit of the August Revolution to the Aspiration for a Breakthrough in the Future" (radio category), along with C prizes and Encouragement prizes.
