This event is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province in collaboration with Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited (Hoiana Resort & Golf Resort).
Quang Nam provincial leaders presented certificates of merit and flowers to the Organizing Committee and representatives of kite teams participating in the festival.
The festival is part of a series of tourism stimulus activities in 2024 with the theme "Quang Nam - Green Heritage Land" and will last from July 27 to 29, 2024 at the beach of Hoiana resort (Tay Son Tay village, Duy Hai commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province).
This year’s International Kite Festival is an international event to promote and preserve the art of kite making and flying, and aims to become an annual cultural - artistic - tourism event in Quang Nam. The event also aims to attract domestic and foreign tourists to Quang Nam and other tourist destinations in the Central region.
The festival brings together kite teams from 13 countries and territories: India, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, China, Australia, Vietnam, Taiwan (China) and Hong Kong (China).

The teams will display more than 100 types of artistic kites and create a colorful kite display space. The highlight of the festival is a vibrant music program throughout the 3 nights and an LED kite flying performance on the 27th and 28th of July.
In addition to the artistic kite performances, visitors can also participate in other exciting activities such as kite making classes with the guidance of artisans, explore diverse cuisine, enjoy magic shows and fire dancing.
Quang Nam hopes that the International Kite Festival - Quang Nam 2024 will truly spread and become an annual event, attracting tourists from all over the world like the Hue Festival and the Da Nang Fireworks Festival.
Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, said that the International Kite Festival - Quang Nam 2024 is expected to become an annual international cultural - artistic - tourism event in Quang Nam. He emphasized that the festival is a unique product with high-class art performances, promising to attract the attention of domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Quang Nam.
