
Cultural performances were held to entertain the locals and tourists attending the opening ceremony.
Attending the ceremony were the Director of the People's Procuratorate of An Giang province, Nguyen Ngoc Phuc; the Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Tien ward, Nguyen Luu Trung; leaders of Tien Hai, Kien Luong, Hoa Dien, Giang Thanh, Vinh Dieu communes, and To Chau ward; and a large number of local people and tourists from inside and outside the province.
In his opening remarks, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the ward and Head of the festival organizing committee, Truong Quoc Hien, emphasized that the history of the opening of Ha Tien land is closely linked to the Mac family, with the pioneer being Duke Mac Cuu. From here, a glorious chapter in history, a prosperous land, and a unique culture were born, leaving a valuable legacy for future generations.
Following in his father's footsteps, Mac Thien Tich was granted permission by Lord Nguyen to inherit his father's legacy and hold the position of Grand Admiral and Commander-in-Chief of Ha Tien. During his reign, Mac Thien Tich was a renowned general, skilled in both military and literary arts, not only protecting the border region but also establishing a brilliant cultural center with the Chieu Anh Cac literary circle.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province awarded certificates of commendation to 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements in contributing to social welfare work in the province.
Immediately following the ceremony, the audience enjoyed an artistic program featuring artists from Ho Chi Minh City such as People's Artist Thanh Ngan, artist Chi Tam, Meritorious Artist Le Tu, etc., creating an artistic atmosphere rich in the history and culture of Ha Tien.
